CBT for MS Fatigue

STUDY OVERVIEW

People with multiple sclerosis often have problems with fatigue. Unfortunately, available treatments don’t provide enough relief for many people. This study will compare three telehealth treatments for MS fatigue based on cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT). These three telehealth treatments are Relaxation Training, Behavioral Activation, and Cognitive Therapy. The results of this study will help us develop an effective, efficient, and accessible treatment for MS fatigue.

WHAT DO I HAVE TO DO?

  • Participants will be randomly assigned to either receive one, two, three, or none of the telehealth treatments over 4-12 weeks of weekly, one-on-one therapy sessions.
  • Complete three 30–45-minute online assessments.
  • Complete one week of twice-daily mini surveys at pre-treatment, post-treatment, and 3-month follow-up.
  • Those who are not assigned to receive a telehealth treatment during the study can receive one treatment of their choice after completing their last survey.
  • Up to $90-110 total compensation provided.
