      • common mood changes in MS  
      • strategies for managing negative or unhealthy thinking 
      • behavioral activation and goal setting

  • Cognitive Boot Camp, Fridays from 9:30 AM – 11:30AM
    • Facilitated by Samantha Burns Artherholt, PhD and Erin Mistretta, PhD
    • Focuses on
      • improving attention
      • memory strategies
      • decision making/problem solving skills
      • fluency/communication techniques

  • MS 101, Fridays from 9:30 AM – 11:30 AM
    • Facilitated by Samantha Burns Artherholt, PhD and other MS Center providers
    • Starts November 17
    • Focuses on
      • overview of MS, including local and national resources
      • information on work, medical leave, and disability
      • coping with uncertainty
      • lifestyle recommendations, including nutrition and activity

  • MS Symptom Management, Fridays from 2:30 – 4:30 PM
    • Starts November 17
    • Focuses on
      • managing fatigue, energy, stress, and pain
      • strategies to improve quality and quantity of sleep

session information

Workshops meet once a week for 4 weeks. Each meeting is 90-120 minutes long. Sessions are billed to your insurance (as group health and behavior interventions, billing codes 96164/96165) through UW Medicine.
