THE UPLIFT TRIAL: MENTAL WELL-BEING IN MS

STUDY OVERVIEW

Depression affects up to 50% of adults with multiple sclerosis (MS), but treatments can be challenging to access. When treatment is not available, self-management strategies can help to reduce depressive symptoms. This project builds on the existing My MSToolkit, a free web-based self-management program for MS-related pain, fatigue, and mood.

This study adds a depression-specific module to My MSToolkit, developed with assistance from our Community Advisory Board. This new module will include self-assessment tools, depression self-management skills, tailored resources, and guidance on accessing mental health care.

We are recruiting 110 adults with MS and depressive symptoms for a randomized controlled trial of this depression self-management module.

THIS STUDY IS NOT YET RECRUITING.
